James Bond film franchise started with Dr No in 1962 and never looked back. Helping to fuel the fire was the interest in the Ian Fleming novels by a then younger JFK -John f Kennedy as he had named these series of books about a gentlemanly secret agent as one of his favorites. during the late ’50s and at some point, two individuals with a love for film and filmmaking first separately and then together making a bid for the film rights for these bestselling novels- Harry Saltzman and Albert R Broccoli. Remember two heads are better than one. Together they succeeded.

Harry and Albert, after obtaining the film rights scored a meeting with then film company United Artist and in particular a very savvy David Picker.
