Tagline-The Greatest Blood Show on Earth…. Nothing -not even sawdust can soak up the torrent of blood! That’s what the posters proclaimed.

A gore fest. Now especially for the early ’70s that was something that might not make beyond the censor's eyes nor the MPAA. Plus, in the US our vampire flick got a PG…which if you were going to show an ample amount of blood probably an R would have been applied or even the “hidden” nudity of the tiger girl-Vampire Circus (youtube.com)

Amazon just dropped this and one other Hammer Films vampire flick which is actually the prequel to this film-The Twins of Evil … featuring the famous Karnsteins and their lust for blood and nimble women. In this film we have the great Peter Cushing dispensing death at the pounding of a stake or good ol fire work just as well. But just as all stories go you just can’t keep a “good” vampire down. And watch out, because vampires-they have cousins too. As you will find out in Vampire
