1982's action packed cult favorite makes a 4K splash!!!!

Many moons ago, in a far off land called Hollywood a noble gesture was made by some very young people to bring to screen a legendary character who was not a legend at the time[of creation-the late ‘70s/early ‘80s](very early) to get the jump on an iconic pulp & comic book series-Conan The Barbarian. If they were able to finish and release their film-say several weeks prior to Universal Studios release. A vehicle starring Arnold Schwarschenegger, they would be able to ride the coat tails of the pre- production marketing all the way to the box-office. And guess what they did. [The release date April 23rd with Conan out on May 14th. Grossing almost 40 million on a 4 mill budget -I call that quite a success].

Brandon Chase convinced by a young would be filmmaker(this would be his first full length & commercial release)- one who has an inarguable charm and persuasive talent. Plus a lot of storyboards!!! Got a yes- a go ahead, lets do this-ok greenlight. His name-Albert Pyun. Albert who was very much in to creating worlds and having a great love for fantasy had been sitting on an idea for a hero named Talon for a couple of years. All prior to Universal in producing Conan. In fact Albert had been collaborating with two others- Tom Karnowski & John Stuckmeyer. What also helped in this…
