Batman Day is officially Saturday, September 21st. However, for me it's every day. Batman is the guy, the hero I turn to when it comes to my comfort zone. Be it comics, live or animated. But I do have my favorites within each media. What about you, who is your favorite?

Now when it comes to preference, say comic books, then I’ll take the golden age Batman. That is where it all started after all. Bruce’s parents gun downed right before his eyes. March 30th, 1939, right in the pages of Detective Comics-no.27.

The story lines were darker in the beginning but not as dark or twisted as in Hush or the Long Halloween. The we got more color in theme with the arrival of Dick Grayson/Robin. And out of the ’40s we got some of our first super villains, Joker, Scarecrow and Riddler.
