Mickey was “born” in the US in 1928 with the first fully distributed cartoon- Steamboat Wille. However, two other productions from Walt Disney were produced prior but did not get picked until after Steamboat. In fact, Plane Crazy in terms of the public consumption saw a release with sound (originally a silent) in 1929. But I say that Plane Crazy and The Gallopin’ Gaucho had a more adventurous theme. And like the title states plane crazy. *Think on this- the mouse is 96 years young….Happy Birthday-Mickey Mouse | Happy Birthday, Mickey

Plane Crazy (1929)-

The plot of this short is probably one that might not get a greenlight in today’s current times. The story has our hero building his own airplane after his inspiration- Charles Lindbergh, who is in reality one of our aviation pioneers…
