Known stateside as The Creature with the Blue Hand-here a poster design giving it the appearance of a book cover. And a few gothic overtones.

This is Edgar Wallace speaking-

Above- Cover for one of the best of Edgar’s stories. Think on this- he was one of Britain’s most prolific writers at 170 novels.

Opening titles for one of the more outrageous scores Horror of Blackwood Castle-Opening title for ‘Der Hund Von Blackwood Castle’/ ‘The Hound Of Blackwood Castle’ (W-Germany 1968). — YouTube

Above- This time it’s up to Sir John and his trusted secretary to solve the mystery. Unusual in that most of the films up to this point relied on one of the Scotland Yard inspectors and Sir John would just check in from time to time.

Who is Edgar Wallace?

Well for one he was and maybe still is Britains’-UK most prolific writer over 170 novels like stated above-earlier. Not counting his short stories. Edgar also worked on plays. Most of his contribution’s lye within the mystery genre however he did create a recurring character set in Africa who not only fell within the adventure category but police/detective genre as well. I am speaking of Sanders of the River. These adventures were closely woven with investigations/procedures. Edgar however is probably most well-known for his contribution to King Kong as one of the creators-Which is on screen celebrating 90 years.
