The ‘70s-

The ’70s saw a rise in women at the Box-office as in gold… moolah, green bills…. wampum…. you know -cash. Women were more bankable than ever. And more so in the exploitation genre. Throw in martial arts and lots of action combined the fashion of the day and you had a hit. Keep in mind the budget for these films were not at the blockbuster level, however they managed to make back their investments and plus that.

The Drive-Ins also helped spur on a ready audience. Women of the day-the actresses had their work cut for them. For what came with the territory were not always the best in locales and safety. Here in the…
