Blood and Black Lace (1964)- If there was only one Giallo or an introduction to the world of Yellow Crime Thrillers (Italy)-this is the one to watch. Directed by genius, Mario Bava. His use of colors and angled shots along with mood and lighting is brilliant. Then throw in an international cast and a killer ear candy score featuring a title credit with a haunting horn solo by Carlo Rustichelli (Kill Baby, Kill) and you have the ultimate giallo.
